Let's meet...
I am Ligita Mitkevičienė. I have been working as an English teacher since 2008. My creativity, curiosity, interests in writing, reading, communicating, sharing knowledge led me to study pedagogy. The desire to travel and explore the world led me to study English Philology.
I am constantly interested not only in the English language and its subtleties, but also in other countries’ cultures, people’s lifestyles, experiences and aspirations for development. And as I gain experience, I share it with you.
Communicating in a foreign language is not just about knowing the words and grammar rules, it’s about the language system, but also about getting to know the world through texts, conversations and travels.
I think that a real conversation with a foreign speaker happens when you make a connection, when you know what’s going on in the lives of people in other countries and can talk about what’s important, when you know how to ask the right questions and can formulate the right answers, and when you not only know the English language, but also the rules of etiquette.
From 2021, I will be working exclusively as a freelance English teacher and giving individual, private lessons. I help people learn spoken English and gain the confidence to communicate in a foreign language, to believe in themselves and their abilities.
I help students to create a discipline in learning a foreign language, to find ways to increase their motivation, to improve, to communicate and not to be afraid to make mistakes.
I teach my students to evaluate only themselves and their own knowledge and to think about how much I have improved personally over time, rather than comparing their own achievements with others.
In our English lessons, we learn from Oxford University Press textbooks, exercises and special computer programmes for teaching/learning. We also learn using structured teaching materials that I have developed.
So the learning content is colourful and interesting. We learn to speak, read and write not only about ourselves and our environment, healthy lifestyles, professions, lifestyles, personal relationships, but also about other cultures, countries, nature and ecology. Sometimes, at the request of the students, we also touch on economics, technology and politics.
I work individually with only one student at a time to ensure maximum achievement.
I provide a wide variety of resources for self-study. Each lesson gives you email links where you can find additional material and exercises.
I work with adults who want to build a strong foundation in English (A0, A1, A2, B1 levels). I also tutor students in grades 1 – 8, helping them with homework and learning difficulties.

In my final years in public schools, I worked on project activities. It was a completely new experience that required a lot of courage and determination to learn many new skills, such as managing IT applications in English, organising international trips, allocating funds, developing project products and disseminating them through the media.
The challenges I overcame in Etwinning, Erasmus international exchange projects have changed everything fundamentally in my life as a teacher.
When organising trips abroad for students and teachers, I realised that English is essential for anyone who wants to travel. A common language connects us all and helps us to understand each other, no matter what country we come from.
It was the best practice for me, for my students and for my colleagues.
I realised that my job as an English teacher is very important, that knowing a foreign language is a gateway to the world and to new friendships.
So I started to devote more and more time to private English lessons and teaching tools, because I had an inner desire to HELP PEOPLE LEARN ENGLISH, so that everyone could communicate while travelling, develop professionally, and broaden their horizons regardless of their age or status.
My goal is to make spoken English lessons accessible to everyone who wants to learn, so I create learning files, share tips, mini-lessons and teaching materials not only on this website, but also on my social media pages.
I know that knowing a foreign language opens up new paths, makes you feel like a full citizen of the world and helps you to fulfil many of your personal wishes. All you have to do is make the decision to learn, set your personal goals and get started. And I will accompany, guide, motivate and help you to learn English on this journey.
