What is your learning style?

We are all very different, so we learn in different ways. Have you heard that learning styles are divided into the following groups?

Visual (seeing and learning)
Audial (I hear and learn)
Kinesthetic (I move and learn)
Mixed (when we have characteristics that are characteristic of several groups).

Who needs it?
Knowing your learning style allows us to do more tasks that suit you personally. This leads to better results when learning English. We will also be less tired when learning in the way that suits us, so we won’t lose motivation to achieve our goals.

Advice:
1. If the student’s learning style is VISUAL, it is advisable to use bold markers to group information. It is effective to choose tasks with as many pictures as possible. It is also advisable to write by hand and new words and rules will sink into the memory much faster. Students with a visual learning style start to remember on which page where a word is written. The right learning environment is also important. Order, aesthetics help concentration.

2. If your student’s learning style is AUDIO, it is a good idea to do as many listening tasks as possible, avoid noise and learn in as quiet an environment as possible. Reading aloud and listening to the other person speak and read are very helpful.

3. If the student’s learning style is KINESTEAL, then it’s worth changing jobs as they learn. You can go for walks, do various physical activities and learn together while listening to recordings. It is important that the working environment is not restrictive, that it is comfortable to sit in, that the workspace is not cluttered with unnecessary objects, that it is spacious. It is a good idea to put learning materials in different places around the house so that you can look and learn as you pass by.

4. And if the student’s learning style is MIXED, then you need to refer to the descriptions of several learning styles and select the advice that seems acceptable. Only by trying out different learning styles will we know what works for us and what gives us the best results.
